Cell Phone / GPS Screen Scratch Remover by Displex
Customer Review: Worked like a champ
My GPS screen in my Audi A4 had scratches in the anti-glare coating that were driving me crazy. I applied the product as directed and it worked flawlessly.
Customer Review: Didn't work
If it does not remove scratches, what else might it be useful for? This one did not remove any of the scratches on my phone, whether small or big ones.
I purchased this little hand held GPS unit about a year or two ago and it has performed wonderfully. I owned a Garmin e-trex prior to this unit, so the color screen is a nice feature. The (2)AA batteries last about 4 or 5 times longer than e-trex, it is WAS enabled and gets great reception almost anywhere.
It come geocaching ready, meaning it has a separate menu to find geocaches and it has two geocache icons to find and mark geocaches. One icon looks like a treasure chest that is closed and the other is an open treasure chest. One to represent caches that need to be found and the other to indicate caches you have already found. A great feature if you enjoy geocaching.
The GPSMAP series comes with a few different options
C=color screenZ
S=it has a barometric altimeter
X=Expandable memory
The color screen is a very nice feature to have. The 256 color helps to locate certain geographical features when looking at the topo map that can be loaded. The barometric altimeter is an outstanding feature to have if you plan on using it for marine purposes or being anywhere that a sudden change in weather would affect on your plans. Having an expandable memory is something I haven't needed, however it is something I would like to have.
Basically the expandable memory allows you to load maps, waypoints, routes, etc onto a micro SD card to be used in you GPS when you need it. I have loaded most of the topo maps for Washington, Oregon, and Idaho plus a route with close 2000 track points plus numerous waypoints and I didn't need the expandable memory. Still I could see a use for it if you are planning a trip transcontinental or around the world or something.
The hand held unit is very durable and water proof as well. I have had this thing on the handle bars of my motorcycle a few times when I have crashed (nothing high speed or really serious, its not like it has a Kevlar casing) and I have gone through 2 mounts as a result. I somewhat blame the mounts breaking and the mounts not being designed to handle abuse. I'm just glad I haven't had to replace the unit.
It has been an excellent hand held GPS unit and I would highly recommend it.
